Alex Davis Piano Recital
An evening of 19th and 20th century piano music in a Salon setting that brings the audience closer to the music.
Works will include:
Beethoven - Sonata in C sharp minor, Opus 27, No.2 ("Moonlight")
Mozart -Sonata in C, K.330
Rachmaninoff - Preludes, Opus 23
Gershwin - Selections from Songbook
About Alex Davis
For over 20 years, Alex Davis has devoted his career to teaching students piano. His youngest are usually age 4, and sometimes younger, with an emphasis on the entire family. In many instances, students come when they are in pre-school and stay until college. The door is always open for new and returning students.
In 1990, Alex co-produced The Bernstein Legacy which aired live on KPFA radio for 150,000 listeners. It was an award-winning documentary showing that musical education is available to everybody.
Alex teaches and resides in San Francisco.
