Little Rock Film FestivalLittle Rock, AR
Based in the Historic Downtown District on the banks of the Arkansas River, the Little Rock Film Festival showcases documentaries, narratives, and short films from around the World, and hosts an impressive schedule of parties, special panels, and youth programs.
In 2007, the LRFF hosted the Arkansas premiere of the summer blockbuster Knocked Up, which went on to earn more than 150 million dollars at the box office after its Little Rock showing. The LRFF was also proud to show premieres of the extraordinary Iranian film Offside, Philip Haass The Situation, and the award winning documentaries Little Birds from Japan, and the Sundance Film Festival winner, and Academy Award nominated documentary WarDance set in Africa.
Founded in 2005 by Little Rock natives Brent and Craig Renaud, Owen Brainard and Jamie Moses, the festival pays special focus to Arkansas filmmakers, dedicating a venue and a complete program to their work. Further, the LRFF is committed to partnering with local organizations and businesses in continuing the growth and development of Downtown Little Rock and making the LRFF a World-Class film and cultural event. |
