The Center for Law, Energy & the Environment (CLEE) applies focused legal analysis to environmental problems in order to achieve innovative legal and policy solutions. CLEE oversees U.C. Berkeley, School of Laws premier environmental law program, which this year offered one of the nations first climate change law and policy courses.
CLEE also houses the Global Commons Project (GCP), which collaborates with international partners to further effective responses to climate change and other key environmental issues.
The Center serves an important convening function that brings together academic experts from scientific, technological, economic, planning, business, engineering and other disciplines, to pursue a multi-disciplinary approach in solving complex environmental questions.
CLEE's greatest resources lie in its accomplished and committed faculty, talented students, knowledgeable staff and extensive partnerships.
