The Seligmann Center is committed to presenting exhibitions and events that place contemporary art and community at their core. Located in Sugar Loaf, NY on the former property of Swiss-American Surrealist Kurt Seligmann, and his wife Arlette, the Seligmann Center honors the history of its site, and the cast of characters that gathered on its grounds, among them: Meyer Schapiro, Alexander Calder, Joan Miró, Peggy Guggenheim, Max Ernst, and Marcel Duchamp. The Seligmann Center presents innovative, challenging, and engaging programming that celebrates its rich history and prompts inquiry, discussion, and exchange among visitors.
