The Calgary Renaissance Singers & Players is a mixed-voice adult choir of approximately twenty to twenty-five persons, some of whom are also instrumentalists or theatrical players. Our focus is to inspire, entertain and educate audiences through the music and culture of the Renaissance era, and to enrich our performances with modern works that celebrate the spirit of the Renaissance. The ensemble presents several concerts each year in collaboration with guest singers and instrumentalists, offering a rich variety of musical themes and styles from the sacred to the playfully secular. Smaller ensembles may be engaged for holiday caroling and educational and private events. We audition for potential new members on an ongoing basis.
