Susan Partnow, M.A.,
is founder of Global Citizen Journey, and co-creator of Seattle Restorative Justice, Conversation Cafes and Lets Talk America, as well as a certified mediator and senior trainer and Director of Advanced Training for Compassionate Listening. She especially enjoys transforming conflict to foster creative change using Open Space, World Cafe or Appreciative Inquiry. Shes served on the steering committee of NCDD (National Coalition on Dialogue & Deliberation), has been a teacher and speech pathologist, (M.A. in Communication Disorders from Northwestern University, BA from UC- Berkeley). With over 30 years experience working with individuals, groups and organizations to promote healthy and productive workplaces and teams, including training in Speaking, Self-Management and People Skills. She is the author of Everyday Speaking for All Occasions and co-contributor to Practicing the Art of Compassionate Listening. Susan has led delegations and facilitated healing circles around the world, from the Niger Delta and Liberia to India, Kashmir and Japan, from Canada and Mexico to Cuba and Guatemala. She has brought warring tribes together in Nigeria and guided divided congregations into healing circle in Seattles Jewish and Palestinian communities. Passionately committed to social transformation, peacemaking and community building, she deeply believes we can and must 'listen our way to wholeness' to find our essential humanity through connection, wise co-creation, and dialogue.
