THEATRE BATTERY produces experimental plays for the suburban community of Kent. We aim to nurture our audience's understanding of the connection between theatre and relevant social issues through the presentation of contemporary works in nontraditional settings.
Theatre Battery is the only theatre company in Kent that operates outside of an educational institution. We are Kent%u2019s only resource for socially testing and unapologetic theatrical material.
The Battery builds its own theatre spaces, using contributions and partnerships from local Kent businesses and institutions.
Theatre Battery consists of an ensemble of emerging theatre artists, all of whom are citizens of Kent. The Battery produces its work in the summer months and welcomes the participation of all theatre artists in the neighboring community.
