International performance/sculptural artist, Sha Sha Higby is known for her evocative and haunting performances using the exquisite and ephemeral body sculpture she meticulously creates and moves within. Sha Sha Higby world premieres her latest work, The Glass Jungle. reflecting her recent travels to Myanmar and Thailand. She went to a glass blowing factory where they hand blow huge glass bulbs for the eyes of the Buddha. It was in a grove of palms filled wth broken chards of tests for the eyes,a provocative vision for this piece!. They also pound the gold leaf by hand and Sha Sha got some to gold leaf an elaborate stick to spin and draw in the air.” I  build these ornate structures because I love animating sculpture that punctuate space,swirl and breathe in their own atmosphere and design .” .
