Cantaré Children's Choir was formed in 1997 by Founder/Artistic Director Catherine Glaser-Climie and is dedicated to excellence in performance, outstanding musical education, and serving the community through song. In addition to presenting its own concert series, Cantaré's award-winning choristers have performed for many prestigious events including for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and frequently collaborates with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Calgary Opera, and the Calgary Civic Symphony.
Boys and girls ages 6 to 18 come together each week across four ensembles to share in the very finest sacred and secular works representing all styles from the Baroque to challenging contemporary masterpieces.
Cantaré has won awards at the local, provincial, and national level including First Prize at Canada's National Music Festival. Cantaré has toured across Canada and the United States as well as to Ireland, Italy, and Germany.
