Entertaining the community, Colyton Theatre Group was formed in 1975 and has been going strong ever since. The Constitution states that the aim of the Group shall be to produce plays, etc. for the entertainment and education of the public and to foster interest and ability in the performing arts. That might be the case but it does sound a little serious and formal. We like to think that, while pursuing these worthy aims, we also provide an opportunity for people to have fun, to get together with old friends and make new ones. We want people to come along and share their skills and perhaps to discover skills they did not know they had. Our aim is to involve and entertain the community.
