Pink Fringe is a Brighton-based producing organisation that supports and promotes work by Queer and LGBT artists.
Presenting theatre, cabaret, comedy, dance, immersive art and entertainment, we offer an exciting and ambitious programme of live performance throughout the year.
Launched in 2010 Pink Fringe's premier programme showcased a vibrant selection of work, from established companies and performers like Bette Bourne and Neil Bartlett and from within Brighton's Queer & LGBT community, as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe.
After a second successful run of shows during Brighton Festival Fringe, our first project supported by Arts Council England, Parade, Protest, Perform! took place in August 2011. The project saw artists performing outdoors in an interactive performance trail, during Brighton and Hove Pride weekend to explore the changing meaning of Gay Pride.
We are also currently working with Lorraine Bowen on the Comfort Zone.
In advance of this year's Fringe season, in February and March 2012, Pink Fringe is proud to present Culture Shock, a bold season of Queer arts events supported by Arts Council England. The season will be presented at the Marlborough Theatre and the Nightingale Theatre and will feature a wicked programme of artists soon to be announced!
