Founded in 1991, Sustainable Seattle was the first community-based sustainability organization in the country. Our 20 year history of bringing groundbreaking ideas and methodology to the sustainability movement is as relevant today as it was in the early years of our existence. We seek to advance an integrated vision of urban sustainability by measuring progress, building diverse coalitions and undertaking key initiatives. Sustainable Seattle is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and as such, is focused on work that betters our community.
