kInDeRdEuTsCh pRoJeKtS is a German/American theater company that collaboratively generates movement-based plays and performance installations. Since 2005, they have been making boundary-bending works that blend movement, song and text with visual and sound installations to approach the most terrifying aspects of history with absurdity and humor. Past productions include Foreign C., fEaR oF a FüHrEr and PRESERVATION and have been performed internationally at the Ontological-Hysteric Incubator (New York), Fusebox Festival (Austin), Patravadi Theater (Bangkok), Theatre Without Stages (St. Petersburg), Intransitos Gallery (Berlin) and Theaterhaus (Hildesheim). They received six Austin Critics Table and B. Iden Payne nominations and awards, and were likened to %u201CWim Wenders Angels%u201D by Time Out New York. Artistic Director and playwright Abi Basch was awarded two Jerome Fellowships from the Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis, a Fulbright and an Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Fellowship to develop plays written for the company. |
