The Satori Group is a regionally recognized and critically acclaimed theatre ensemble, working primarily in the development of new work. We present public performances of Satori productions on an annual basis, typically with 1-2 large-scale mounted productions per year, and several (3-5) smaller scale public performances of in-development work. These smaller-scale performances can range from in-process showings for an invited audience, to ticketed events showcasing a project that may go on to receive a fuller large-scale production.
The Satori Lab has become a central part of how we serve the community %u2013 the Lab provides a necessary and unfortunately rare venue for creative exploration and development of new work. The kind of space that Satori values, has created, and has shared with our community is hard to find in Seattle: affordable, flexible, and accessible space that supports large-scale experimentation and while encouraging well-crafted outputs. Satori has cultivated a diverse and adventurous audience excited by getting close to the process of creating new work and hungry for the product.
