Eco-printed Fabric Workshop

Eco printing is directly applying plants to textiles to alter colour, apply colour and create interesting designs. Natural dyeing is a component, as everything used is natural, such as flowers, leaves, bark etc.

Gather spring foliage and flowers to print with - the pigment from the plants is our natural dye so best to bring as fresh as possible and a variety of plants and leaves (The ESC will also provide some foliage so we will have a really good mix for everyone to share) - directly onto garments or fabric using natural methods to extract the pigments from your chosen plants - can work with flowers too!

The ESC will provide some fabrics but please feel free to bring along light coloured clothing you wish to print too - natural fabrics will work best - tshirts, vest tops, skirts etc.

Make fabric smaples into scarves, bags, garments - and would make a really great present!

This class is ideal for complete beginners and children too!
