Pollyanna Bush - Vocals & Piano
Master Vocal Coach, Award-Winning Singer Songwriter, Music Educator, Spiritual Leader Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Pollyanna Bush has supported and shaped the artistic paths of many musicians, creators, and community figures for over 35 years. As an expressive, highly experienced live performer, Pollyanna has entertained audiences across North America and Europe. She has shared the stage with musical luminaries, such as Richie Havens, Shana Morrison, Vonda Shepard, Gary Malkin, Dave Worm, and Raz Kennedy. As a music educator, Pollyanna's mission is to encourage and inspire people to use the sacred act of singing and music making as an expression of love, emotional healing and transformation. She finds personal joy in leading others to experience vocal freedom, celebrate their individuality, and enjoy a pure connection to themselves through music.
Oakland native, Dave Worm, began his singing career in 1985 with the Bay Area groups Jazz Mouth and Vocal Front. In 1989 he became a founding member of Bobby McFerrins Voicestra ensemble and has remained a regular performer with Mcferrin, being featured on recordings, including Medicine Music and Vocabularies and touring with Mcferrins Hard Choral and improvisational group Gimme 5. He is also one of the original founding members of the a-cappella group, SoVoSo, an internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble which has released 6 albums and tours worldwide.
Other performing projects of note include touring & teaching in the innovative improvisational trio, WeBe 3, performing and recording with the acclaimed acoustic duo, Glass House, and collaborating with spoken word artist, PC Munoz and his band, Left Hook.
Dave has over 80 record credits as a session singer, vocal percussionist, and writer and his original music has been recorded by groups both nationally and internationally.
Dave has scored or co-written numerous original full length works for choreographers, Robert Moses Kin, Oberlin Dance, Tandy Beal, Project Bandaloop, Axis Dance (Meet the Composer Grant recipient), Cherie Carson, June Watenabe, and Suzanne Gallo. Dave's music has also been used in scoring the film documentaries StepUp for Canadian Director Tamas Wormser, and Love Francesca for Producer Julie LaSalle.
As the artistic director for Sing for Your Life!, an Annual 12 Hour CircleSinging Celebration, and the inspiration behind the 3rd Wednesday Community CircleSing events co-sponsored by First Congregational Church in Berkeley, Davie has built a legendary singing community supported by volunteers and community voices, sustained since 2002.
He regularly teaches Circle Singing Facilitation, Vocal Improvisation and Vocal Percussion in schools and other places of learning throughout the U.S. and Europe, expressing his passion and commitment to use his evocative voice and this Art to foster generosity of spirit, and empower each singers heart to be expressed through their music.
Bryan Dyer - Vocal Bass Bryan Dyer is a musician with more than 30 years of professional experience. Hes a versatile multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who performs many styles of music from classical and avant-garde to rock, jazz, and blues. Music has taken Bryan around the world to perform in many countries including Japan, Switzerland, Indonesia, and Jamaica, and alongside such artists as Huey Lewis and The News, Michael McDonald, and Carlos Santana. Some of the groups he currently performs with include SoVoSo, Keith Terry & Crosspulse, The Funk Revival Orchestra, Chelle! & Friends, and Bobby McFerrin & MOTION.
Renée Benmeleh - Vocals Renée Benmeleh is a multi-cultural World, Jazz and Improvisation vocalist, composer, drummer, community music facilitator, ritual singer, and the founder/teaching artist at Sound Nourishment, born in Venezuela from Mediterranean ancestry.
She is the founder and magic weaver at Sound Nourishment where she leads group workshops for the public, Arts in Health, and organizations using mindful vocal/movement & improvised melody/rhythm games, in an inclusive environment supporting community connection, vocal and rhythmic exploration and the expression of your authentic sound.
Stephen Iverson - Guitar, Bass & Vocals Stephen's music career spans 50+ years. Singer, songwriter extraordinaire, & multi -instrumentalist. He has toured widely with his beautiful, heart opening, & contemplative music. He also has a very whimsical side to some of his song writing, and listeners will find themselves laughing out loud! He has recorded 8 albums of his original music and, most recently, a children's album entitled, "What duck?!"
Neesh Prasad Vocals Imagine Jack Johnson, Young the Giant, and Fred Again somehow had a baby and then dropped him multiple times into a vat filled with sonics of the 60's, backbeat from the 90's, and melodies shipped in from Bollywood.That's Neesh. He's played all of over the place, from festivals to bar nights to intimate house concerts. He wants to take over the world with wholesome melodies, meaningful lyrics, and a soulful performance.
Ann Speyer - Vocals Ann Speyer grew up singing with her family and in choirs. These days she's grateful to be part of the Bay Area vocal improvisation scene, seeking harmony and making stuff up with beautiful humans.
