Brian Copeland Brings the Laughs, the Fury, and the Fight to the stage in the age of Trump
A Therapy Session for Progressives!

Brian Copelands critically acclaimed solo show, The Great American Sh*t Show returns to the stage in its boldest and most relevant iteration yet. Originally conceived during the tumultuous first Trump presidency, this show continues to challenge, entertain, and inspire as his second presidency unfolds. Taking place at The Theater at Sierra 2 Center in Sacramento on Saturday, June 7 at 7pm.

The Great American Sh*t Show blends razor-sharp humor, social commentary, and unforgettable storytelling. This years revival features four updated monologues tackling unrelenting themes:
1.   Friendship and Ideological Divides: A deeply personal exploration of loyalty and values, as Brian grapples with whether to maintain a friendship with someone who has embraced a divisive movement.
2.   Americas Identity and Legacy: A provocative inquiry into the concept of greatness in Americawhen it existed, for whom, and what it means today in a polarized nation.
3.   The Evolution of #MeToo: A critical examination of the #MeToo movement's trajectory, questioning whether its momentum has faded and why cultural reckonings often lose steam.
4.   Hope in Everyday Acts: A heartfelt look at the small but impactful actions of ordinary people, illustrating how collective effort and kindness can inspire hope and change.
"The show will change and evolve as the Trump presidency continues because we must speak up and fight for our democracy, or we wont have one," says Copeland.

The Great American Sh*t Show has been praised for its dynamic, thought-provoking material. Each monologue is a finely crafted exploration of issues that resonate deeply with audiences today:
Critics raving about the show:
Brian Copeland spellbinds the audience with personal monologues and razor-sharp delivery. Incredible storyteller!  Cari Lynn Pace, Marinscope Newspapers
Smart, funny, provocative and at times, unexpectedly deeply moving, this is theater as a welcome dash of hope in dark times and a much-needed call to arms. GASS packs a lot of bracing punch and highly entertaining. GASS is four beautifully crafted and oh-so-timely monologues that run the gamut from responding to the rising tide of racism. This may be the perfect piece of theater for our times. - Robert Hurwitt, Chronicle Theater Critic
Funny and provocative stories, told with skill by a masterful tale-spinner.  George Powell, ForAllEvents
the power is in showing members of Americas disenfranchised majority that theyre not alone.  Julie Motz, KWMR Arts Desire

The Great American Sh*t Show is a powerful reminder of the challenges weve facedand the battles we must continue to fight. With every performance, Brian Copeland reinforces the importance of staying vigilant, speaking out, and finding hope in the actions of everyday heroes.
