THIS SHOW IS AT THE MINERVA ROXY THEATER 114 N Market St, Minerva, OH 44657 inconjunction with the Minerva Chamber of Commerce.
Shows are 21 and over, 17 years of age with parent or legal guardian.
WELCOME TO A UNIQUE BLEND OF THEATRE, STAND-UP COMEDY, AND IMPROVISATION
True fact: We all start out female in the womb. Dont believe us guys, just look at your chest - Its the reason you have nipples. In Couples Therapy we explore and exploit these differences in all their magnificent and hilarious glory. This unforgettable evening of laughter and entertainment is a unique and clever combination of theatre, stand-up comedy, and improv that is as funny as it is insightful. Audiences go on a hilarious and interactive ride as a pair of married relationship experts attempt to help couples with their relationships but as the show wears on we see that they have more problems than their patients!
And fear not guys, this is not one of those beat down sessions on men. Instead we equally explore, appreciate, and laugh at the differences between men and women. The show offers endless humor packed with practical relationship advice rooted in science and psychology (we really did our homework!) So strap in, as we dont just break the fourth wall, we smash right through it!
OUR STORY
Julie and Alan were high school sweethearts but after graduation went their separate ways only to reconnect 10 years later at a medical conference. They realized that their lives took a very parallel path. Their parents divorced shortly after their high school graduation which left them both feeling betrayed as if their parents marriage was a sham, a facade. They were both under the impression that their parents were madly in love
It was a defining moment in both their lives. They wanted to figure out why relationships fail and more importantly how to help themselves and others. They each set out to really understand human relationships, and the differences between the sexes. During the evening, they will share their collective 40 years of knowledge and research with the audience through humor. And while Julie and Alan couldnt save their parents relationships, theyre goal is to save others going forward.
