This Spring, The Globe Theatre at Odessa College ignites our new outdoor amphitheater + returns to The Globe stage with an exciting reimagining of one of Shakespeare's most thrilling adventures, Cymbeline.
One of Shakespeare's final works, Cymbeline presents a bold, spirited take on his familiar themes of forbidden romance, betrayal, and the mayhem of war, blending tragedy, combat, fantasy, and broad comedy into a plot filled with twists and turns - all centering on the courageous princess Imogen.
The Globe's production will include expressive choreography, riveting music, explosive battle scenes, and a narrator to guide audiences through an exciting, vibrant tale filled with elements of fairy tale romance and epic adventure.
And, AND (!!!) Cymbeline will perform OPENING WEEKEND OUTDOORS on the grounds of the new OC Amphitheater + CLOSING WEEKEND INSIDE on The Globe Theatre's historic stage.
*** Please note that seating for our Opening Weekend (outdoor) performances is not typical. The play moves audiences through multiple spaces and audience members are encouraged to dress for that evening's expected weather. ***
