Body Breath Brush: An Exploration
The Japanese tradition of Sumi-e painting, or brush painting, is often referred to as visual poetry. It embodies qualities of breath, body awareness, spirit and harmony. Derived from the Japanese tanka, the English tanka is a small lyrical poem that harmonizes the writers inner life with whats observed in the outer world. Explore these expressive mediums while cultivating ease within your body and movement. Release expectations and embrace beginners mind as artist Janet Fagan, athlete and coach Alison Naney and poet Teresa Williams meet you where you are in a safe, collaborative space of reflection and creativity. No experience required. Lets see what happens when we come together and let our inner creatives out to play!
This multi-session workshop will take place in Mazama at Cascade Endurance's new home in The Fly Shop as a part of The Confluence: Art in Twisp's outreach into valley-wide, collaborative workshops with local creatives.
Material list will be provided upon registration.
