SAMYUKTA 2024 - An Ode to Odissi
We are thrilled to present a fall recital by the disciples of Guru Shri Vishnu Tattva Das, founder and artistic director of Odissi Vilas, California. This evening of music and dance will feature performances by Odissi dancers of all ages as well as guest performances by Samir Panigrahi and Santosh Ram, senior dancers of the India-based Rudrakshya Foundation.
Odissi Vilas: Sacred Dance of India, was founded in 2005 by Guru Vishnu who envisioned it as a center for the performing arts in the Odissi style of Indian classical dance. Its mission is to preserve cultural heritage, promote, educate and delight audiences with the mystical beauty, grace and spirituality of Odissi dance.
This performance is an extension of Odissi Vilas mission to to share this sacred dance form with our community and the world; to build cultural bridges between diverse groups of people.
Join us for an evening immersed in rasa, the inherent essence of all the arts of India.
