Therapeutic Recreation training allows participants to engage in various activities used at Rosecrance for behavioral health treatment for adults and adolescents. Treatment modalities include DBT mindfulness skills, visual arts, expressive arts, leisure education and nature-based interventions.
Attendees also learn how to incorporate these techniques in their settings in practical ways that have a positive impact on an individual's ability to assimilate information.
The training is interactive. Please dress appropriately for indoor and outdoor activities. Lunch is provided.
Speaker: Abby Nelson, M.S., CRTS, CADC, Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator In addition to Abby Nelson, other Rosecrance therapeutic recreation therapists will lead the training.
Seating is limited. Attendees can attend one training per year.
All training is provided free of charge and includes refreshments and materials. 5 CEU's will be provided.
