Caffe Musica presents an evening of music Friday, April 6, 2018, with singer-songwriter Joanne Rand and electric bassist Rebecca Young. Rands 2018 tour is in honor of REJUVINATION. Rand and Young will be joined by celebrated Seattle drummer Will Dowd at Crossroads Bellevue on Saturday, April 7 at 7pm.

Born and bred in the Deep South, Rand has performed in Manhattan, L.A., Toronto, Atlanta, Seattle, Hawaii, Alaska & the Amazon. A North Bay readers poll once voted her Best Acoustic Band. Based in rural Northern California, with a BFA in music composition, she has performed alongside such greats as Bonnie Raitt, Micky Hart, John Hartford, John Trudell, Dougie McLean. Rands songs reflects a wide array of styles (folk, rock, jazz, Celtic, psychedelic, gospel), weaving tales of: War, peace, loyalty, betrayal, hope and humor. Joining Rand for her Seattle performances is Rebecca Young. Young is one of Seattles busiest bassists and a local music teacher. She emerged from the Manhattan music scene and relocated to Seattle, WA in the mid-90s where she and Rand first met. They have been performing and recording together for 20 years. Rebecca can be heard at many of Seattles best venues with: The Jelly Rollers, V. Contreras, Betsy Olson, Flowers Black, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Paul Benoit, X-Ray and others.
