Tuesday March 28 - Enormous Changes at the Last Minute by Grace Paley

Monday April 24 - The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
1-2:30pm

Midway between the warmest of book clubs and the most elucidating lecture, Kimberly's seminars entertain, inspire and help you read better.

Combining lively discussion with insightful explication, Kimberly helps her mighty but cozy band of readers delve more deeply into novels, all in a relaxed and entertaining 90-minute session. After her highly successful inaugural series this spring, we couldn't be more pleased to have her back.

Best-selling author, Ph.D. and former adjunct professor at Berkeley, Kimberly is eager to explore the Spring's four titles. These novels by Paul Beatty, Ken Kesey, Grace Paley and Junot Diaz are complementary and fascinating, each handpicked for its richness and originality, its dark humor or astonishing warmth. (Plus each is SLIM, given the busy nature of life on the Peninsula.)

Come for one meeting or indulge in a slightly richer experience (and save a little money) by signing up for all four. Books are included in the price of the seminars and should be picked up at Kepler's (and read) prior to the meeting date.

We know you love books. Sign up now. The class is popular enough to have recently been capped and join Kimberly to learn to read more deeply while having a seriously good time.

From one of the attendees: "Kimberly has given me a fresh perspective on some old favorites and exposed me to authors I've never read. Her enthusiastic approach to reading is contagious. You find yourself wanting to dig deeper and get more out of the time you spend with your nose in a book."
