Southwest Theatre Productions, sponsored by the Austin Creative Alliance, presents A.R. Gurney's Pulitzer nominated play, "Love Letters," at the Blanton Museum of Art for two performances on Valentine's Day only.  Proceeds benefit The Blanton Museum of Art.

In addition to the show, each ticketholder is entitled to 1) one glass of champagne, wine, or other beverage; 2) admission to the beverage reception one hour before the performance; 3) one pass to the Blanton Museum to be used at any time, and 4) parking in the Brazos garage. (Bring your parking stub inside for validation.)

There are two (2) performances to accommodate those celebrating Valentine's Day with either lunch or dinner reservations in Austin:

4:00 p.m. - Reception is one hour before curtain time.
8:30 p.m. - Reception is one hour before curtain time.

The show runs approximately seventy (70) minutes plus a fifteen minute intermission. Save $9 per ticket for groups of six (6) or more.

Write a short "love note" to your significant other or family member to be printed in the program. Must be ordered through checkout by February 8th.

Don't miss this sweet, funny, and emotional portrait about the powerful connection of love, directed by Lucien Douglas (UT's Associate Professor of Acting, Department of Theatre and Dance). Spunky Melissa (Kat Sparks) and hopelessly composed Andrew (Tony Sears) have been writing to each other since they were children of privilege in 1937.  Now adults, each has discovered the same notes, cards, and letters they packed away long ago reveal more about their pain, victories, and life choices than originally thought. As they trace the story of their lives from the second grade through college, wartime, and into adulthood, they begin to read between the lines.  Was true love ever meant to be?
