The Cascade Jazz Ensemble proudly kicks of the 2015 East Shore LIVE performance series with an exciting concert of spiritual music by jazz masters. "Jazz from the SOUL" celebrates the evolution of jazz as a spiritual music, featuring works by major composers from Duke Ellington through Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus and John Coltrane, and many others.
The roots of jazz as an expression of blues, gospel and other spiritual traditions will be explored in both vocal and instrumental music, as well as readings and dance. Featuring several special guest performers. All are welcome to this unique and upbeat concert experience!
This ticket allows attendees to experience TWO performances on the East Shore Unitarian Church campus at 12700 SE 32nd St. in Bellevue. The "Waybacks" will be playing northwest classic rock 'n roll for dancing in the main building, while "The Cascade Jazz Ensemble" entertains in the club atmosphere of "Club Spring." Ticket holders will be able to freely visit both of these family-friendly venues during the evening.
Wine and other refreshments will be available. Ample free parking.
