Brooklyn Botanic Garden Linnaean Libation League
On February 27, the Linnaean Libation League presents an event dedicated to the desert landscape of Palm Springs, California, circa 1959. Join us for a planter's or Sassenach punch -- featuring the mighty spirit Hendricks -- stroll BBG's indoor Desert Pavilion, and nibble on canapes. Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, and more provide the background sounds, thanks to the creative types at Handpicked Music.
At 6 p.m., Dave Wondrich, cocktail historian and mixologist extraordinaire, plus a BBG horticulturist, will toast to the fabulous flavors of the mid-century, several of which are derived from plants on display in the Steinhardt Conservatory.
