Wild Foraged Valentines
Wild Foraged Valentines
Sunday February 14th from 8-10pm
at
Somewhere in the mission, SF (exact location sent the day of the dinner)
Tickets Available here
Valentines is upon us, and this is a very special day for the wild kitchen. Feb 14th will be the 1 year anniversary of our dinners, so we're going to do something really special. This meal will have all the best wild foraged dishes we've discovered over the past year. Wild boar osso bucco, foraged escargot, and more...hope you can celebrate with us.
We invite you to an eight course meal, with each course focused on displaying several sustainably foraged local wild ingredients.
The Wild Kitchen is a rambling dinner of wild foraged food, with each course focusing on several wild ingredients. What does that mean? Wild means uncultivated. Human hands have never touched this food until the day of its harvest. We mean to educate people about the amazing abundance of wild edibles in our area, while connecting them with their fellow eaters.
Each Wild Kitchen dinner is a community affair. We sit together, eat together, and talk together. Everyone sits and eats at communal tables, while forageSF explains the wild ingredients in the dishes and why we used them.
And the menu is:
first bite
wild foraged escargot in crimini mushroom caps
next
wild nettle soup with cow girl creme fraiche
next
baccala stuffed nastertiums
next
ricotta gnocchi with porcini and prosciutto
next
wild boar belly buns
with
vinegar pickled sea beans
next
miners lettuce and raddichio salad with a wild ginger vinegrette
next
wild foraged mussels with sea beans two ways
last
acorn bread
with
candy cap mushroom ice cream
How it works:
The exact location is a secret, but will be sent out the day of the event
The meal is $99 and is 8 courses. We like everyone to eat together, so we have one seating a night. Space is very limited, please get your tickets at:
Because we use the freshest wild foraged ingredients, sometimes the menu changes, but we'll let you know before the dinner.
Drinks: BYOB

We're all about alternative economies. If you have something you'd like to trade for dinner, we'd be up to hear it.
If you have restaurant experience, either kitchen or floor, and want to help out from 4-11 the day of the dinner in exchange for some delicious food, please let us know, we could always use help.
