The Sacramento Area Sanitation District (SASD) was designed by Williams + Paddon Architects + Planners, the project consists of a two-story, 135,000 SF Office Building; a 40,000 SF Warehouse, Shop, Central Plant Building and Corporation Yard situated on approximately 23 acres. Features include administrative offices, employee cafe, employee break out areas, employee exercise room, training rooms, community meeting rooms, vehicle repair areas, workshops, storage areas, loading dock, vehicle wash bays, back-up generator, and covered storage areas. The new facility will house several different agencies with unique needs and requirements. Williams + Paddon provided extensive programming and planning and design services through several different reorganizations of who would be based in the new offices. The projects is designed for a LEED Gold rating and includes several key energy efficient measures, including under floor air distribution, high efficiency HVAC equipment, daylighting and photovoltaic arrays.
