The Swing Magic Revue!
It has been 14 years since The Leeds hosted the sold out shows starring "Big Daddy Cool" and ensemble, but on December 20th, 2014 The Leeds Center for the Arts is proud to present The Swing Magic Revue starring Big Daddy Cool & The Bombshell Kittens! The Swing Magic Revue is fusion of hit swing music from the 20th century, award-winning magic, amazing dance, comedy, circus acts and audience participation set sometime between the 1920s and 1940s. The show is produced by Eastern Kentucky University Alum John B. Pyka who also portrays the character of "Big Daddy Cool" Johnny Dellarocca. "Imagine the classic floor shows of the swing era supper clubs, mixed with a dash of Dick Tracy, a pinch of Cabaret, and a teaspoon of the musical Chicago and you are halfway there" says Pyka. "There is literally something for everyone to love."
The Swing Magic Revue also stars The Bombshell Kittens, a group of talented ladies who sing, dance and soar through the air! Also joining the cast is the opening musical act, Johnny Foodstamp a ukeleian who claims to play old time music from the future. "Audiences are going to love the show they see," added Pyka. "It's literally something they have never seen before and will never see again." To learn more about the show and the artists, visit www.bigdaddycoolshows.com.
