6th Annual New Year's Eve Concert/Gala
The music of Ludwig vanBeethoven and Antonin Dvorak will resound in Petaluma's "Carnegie Hall" as the 6th Annual New Years' Eve Gala concert, presented by Sky Hill Cultural Alliance and the Petaluma Museum Association, kicks off the New Year!
Each year's "Gala Concert" has been a sensation and has become a New Year's Eve tradition, not only for Petalumans, but also for residents of nearby towns wishing to bring in the New Year with inspired artistry and great "live" classical music. Without having to drive to San Francisco, San Francisco comes to us, as 3 of the performing string players are beloved high-caliber musicians from the San Francisco Symphony. Yun Chu, violin; Shu-Yi Pai, cello and Nancy Severance, viola, have been performing at this venue since the series inception in 2010, with Elizabeth Walter, pianist - the series creator and coordinator. This ensemble has been acclaimed for their insightful interpretation and marvelous cohesion.
Seeing the need for local high-quality classical music events, Elizabeth Walter, in conjunction with Sky Hill Cultural Alliance and the Petaluma Museum Association, have provided the community with many outstanding and inspiring concerts.
This year's program is eagerly anticipated by all, and will include an early dynamic Trio of Beethoven, a very late inspiring Sonata by Beethoven and Dvorak's brilliant, colorful and melodic Piano Quintet.
For your added enjoyment: "Thank you" to the Petaluma Creamery and Russian River Vineyards for their continued support of culture in our local community! Their fine wines and cheeses will be served complimentary.
We encourage you to get your tickets early, as this event has sold out in past years.
See you there!
