The Queer Queens of Qomedy
Comedian and producer Poppy Champlin hosts the show and will perform in Point Arena with two of the best and brightest stars in the lesbian comedy world, Julie Goldman and Jennie McNaulty.
Poppy Champlin graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BFA in theater and was a member of the famed Second City Comedy Troupe. She refined her chops opening for such comics as Ray Ramano, Denis Leary, Bill Maher, Bill Hicks and Rosie O'Donnell. Rapid fire jokes interspersed with comedic songs keep her audiences laughing and coming back.
Julie Goldman is a New York comic and co-starred on Logo TV in The Big Gay Sketch Show, the first ever gay sketch comedy show. Julie also appears on Comedy Central with her featured stand-up routine Live at Gotham. An award winning comedian, Julie won the 2007 MAC award for Headlining Comedian in NYC, and in 2008 she won the New Now Next Award for Brink of Fame Comic.
Jennie McNulty, originally from Detroit, has traveled the world doing comedy. In addition to headlining in comedy clubs all over the US and Canada, she has entertained the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jennie currently performs in the Logo TV special One Night Stand Up and she's been a hit at countless Gay and Lesbian Comedy Festivals.
This all lesbian comedy revue is taking the country by storm and sure to bring the audience to its feet with laughter.
