Things We Made, hosted by Patrick Bulger and Jesse Fernandez, is a somewhat scripted dash through everything the talented cast has to offer. It features a weekly, rotating line-up of all new stand-up, sketch, music, video and laughs by the barrel. The show's contributing members Sean Keane, Emily Heller, DJ Real, Brendan Lynch, Dave Thomason and Janine Brito are the sharpest group of young comics working in the city today and each week Things We Made proudly debuts their newest creations. The weekly show will also feature a short set by PianoFight.
Things We Made is hot off its third year of sold-out performances at SF SketchFest, and was recently featured in Sacramentoâs All Sketch comedy festival. Co-host Patrick Bulger has been featured in Comedy Centralâs Open Mic Fights and the Boston Comedy Festival, and co-host Jesse Fernandez has been a finalist in the National College Comedy Competition for the past two years. Group member and local stand-up sensation Emily Heller is a staff writer for Rooftop Comedy and took second place at both the 2009 SFâs Womenâs Comedy Competition and the 2009 Bay Area Laugh Leader Competition. And fellow stand-out stand-up Sean Keane took first place at the Twisted Biscuit Comedy Competition and has been published in McSweeneyâs and ESPN Magazine.
Things We Made was formed in 2008 when Bulger, Fernandez, Lynch and DJ Realz began performing and alternative monthly show. The show was so popular that Things We Made upped their anti to a weekly show, and added new group members Heller, Keane, Thamason and Brito. You can find more information at www.thingswemade.com.
