Telling Stories: A Family Celebration of Cesar Chavez
Presented in honor of The City of Shoreline's Cesar Chavez Day Proclamation and in partnership with Mirror Stage, join the Arts Council for a celebration of Latino-American culture & history with the presentation of a dynamic variety show!
Groups of young performers from the Shoreline & Lake Forest Park area will present several acts. Highlights include a short satirical play by Shorecrest High School's Latino Club focusing on stereotypes, a special father/daughter dance by a member of Shorewood High School's Latinos Unidos group, a video montage inspired by the student-run Council Adressing Social Equity, and the grand finale featuring Grupo Folklorico Guadalajara, a traditional Mexican dance troupe with members who are alumni of Shorewood High School.
