CHARACTER WORKSHOP w/ KEVIN READER
Broaden your range and ability to find character within your storytelling and improvisation. Over this three week series, you'll learn a variety of different tactics on how to access characters and points of view in your scene work. This series will focus on techniques drawn from classical acting, clowning and improvisation.
The Character Series will be held Saturday December 6th, 13th & 20th from 4-6pm at The Playground Theater. The cost for the 3 week series is $75
Kevin Reader received his Master's in Theatre History from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He has trained and performed at iO, as well as trained, produced and performed in independent projects at the Second City and the Annoyance. He currently produces the Mixer and the New New Show at the Playground Theater. He is currently a Creative Director at the Public House Theatre where he has assisted in the production of dozens of scripted shows. He founded the comedy production crew, the Nerdologues where they produce a variety of projects from games to podcasts to live shows. Some of his stuff has been seen on Tosh.0, atom.com, kotaku.com and themarysue.com. He is dedicated to nurturing the development of artists and assisting them in the production of their work.
Also as an added you will get complimentary shows for the Playgrounds 8pm show Tuesday-Saturday for the month of December.
