RenMen Book of Ayres

Join us for Renaissance Men's inaugural chamber music recital series! These solo or small group concerts will give an opportunity to explore material for smaller performance forces, and to provide that personable ambiance only RenMen can! This is also our way of fulfilling certain special repertoire requests, which we always happily accept!

In our first offering, two coasts collaborate in a celebration of England's finest songwriters of the early baroque period. Boston-based tenor and RenMen founding member, Eric Christopher Perry, and Portland, Oregon's acclaimed lutenist, Hideki Yamaya, will play selections from Philip Rosseter's "Book of Ayres" (1601), with solo lute pieces to be included. Other RenMen members will join Eric in several TTBB part-song arrangements of some of the songs as well.
