Kick off your holiday party season in uncommon style with the second annual GRAND TIDINGS hosted by Stoddard's Fine Food and Ale and New England's hottest period-instrument ensemble, Grand Harmonie.
Vintage instruments and classic cocktails collide with Boston's oh-so-contemporary crowd in a joyously noisy celebration filling the entire Stoddard's space, upstairs and down.
The unstoppable mixology forces of Stoddard's renowned barkeeps and the talented Kirsten Amann, founding member of the Boston chapter of LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails), will be on full display as they concoct two special beverages that can only be imbibed and enjoyed at Grand Tidings.
Other highlights of the evening include:
A Christmas Carol Sing-Along accompanied by a musical menagerie of historic brass instruments - valveless French horns, cornopean, and sackbuts, oh my! (Yes, sackbuts are a thing.) A Best Mustache Contest for the dapper gents and Best Hat and Hairdo Contest for the lovely ladies A 19th-century group dancing lesson, and more!
The attire is cocktail - with 19th-century acccessories encouraged. The tickets are $15 - which includes a glass of featured punch, plus food courtesy of Stoddard's, with additional delightful adult beverages only $5. The party is one you can't - and won't - forget.
Tickets available at the door, but buy yours here to avoid the line!
