J. Gamble aka Pruno
Josh "Pruno" Gamble was Born In Los Banos Ca and raised by his grandma and grandpa with great morals and respect for others. His mother and father were alcoholics and drug addicts so most of the time they were in prison which created a hectic child life. Gamble was able to find comfort in his love for music. His first cassette tape was "License to Ill" by the Beastie Boys. His love for the art of rhyme helped him get through some tough years of adolescence. He popped his tape in the walk man and tuned out the world. Music was his escape. Growing up on Tanner Road in an old trailer park, Gamble felt the pain of a dysfunctional family. He turned to the streets where he was surrounded by crime, drug sales and addiction. He became street smart at an early age and learned to turn a 5 to a 20 and was able to survive in a cold environment. He later found himself trapped behind the walls of a State Prison and had to learn things the hard way.
Having time to focus behind bars, Josh realized his true purpose in life was to focus on music. His pain would be translated through song writing which gave him an outlet to express his feelings through music. A love for country, rock, jazz, and hip hop, inspired his song writing. Being raised around addiction within his family, Gamble turned to bands like Johnny Cash, CCR, and the Eagles to block out any negativity.
Enter the Moonshine Bandits. The Bandits are from the same town of Los Banos that "Pruno" was from. The Bandits and Gamble connected on some song recording collabs early on. When Gamble was sent to Prison, the Bandits corresponded back and forth through letters. When it was time for him to be released, the Bandits took him to get his first burger at a small bar in Central Valley California called Stevinson Bar and Grill. The Bandits and Gamble discussed the future of his music and maintaining a positive path to making music. Gamble has since been performing Live with the Bandits and was instantly accepted by the infamous Shiner Nation fan base. Now he is recording music and preparing for his first major debut. Now it's finally time for the World to hear the story of a wild journey that illustrates the life of Josh "Pruno" Gamble.."Gamble Up" is coming.
