MARIONETTES - puppet making class at PLOP!
Learn about Marionettes, puppets controlled from above by strings or rods. Learn to unlock their full expressive potential, from elegant to outrageous. In this hands-on class, puppeteer Dan Luce will guide students in making their very own marionette (string puppet), using a simplified version of this often complex technique. He will introduce an approachable construction technique involving common and recycled materials. Dan will also teach participants how to start mining the expressive potential of their marionettes and develop performance skills. Students of ALL skill levels will delight as they learn basic manipulation skills and see their puppets come alive!
