Classical Interludes: Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert Series: Calder Quartet
The Calder Quartet performs a vast range of repertoire, frequently matching classic works with cutting-edge modern music. The Quartet's goal is to channel and fulfill the composer's vision, and they have achieved this in traditional repertoire as well as in their longstanding work with composers Terry Riley and Christopher Rouse. A sense of musical curiosity fuels every performance by the Calders, whether it's a Mozart quartet or collaboration with rock bands like The National or The Airborne Toxic Event. Children under 6 will not be admitted.
Classical Interludes is made possible in part by a generous gift from James J. O'Toole and is supported in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and many generous individual donors.
Carnegie Hall's Neighborhood Concerts is a program of the Weill Music Institute. Carnegie Hall's Neighborhood Concerts are sponsored by Target.
