The Monumentalists
Marshall York and Lucas Kavner are the Monumentalists - a rock band in the style of the Kinks, the Magnetic Fields, The Replacements and other "the" bands that sound like those three bands. After receiving an audience suggestion the band performs a full concert's worth of improvised songs, at the same time trying desperately to rise above the conflict and turmoil within their own haunted psyches and troubled relationship... Also: scarves.
