Mihael Sagalovesky and the Tragic Torments of Patty Heart Townes
Holcombe Waller Presents... Mihael Sagalovesky and the Tragic Torments of Patty (heart) Townes ======= Since moving to Portland from his native San Francisco in January of 2005, Holcombe has had a busy time. After releasing his third album "Troubled Times," lauded by the Willamette Week's Jeff Rosenberg as "the best new music of 2005, period," Holcombe delivered acclaimed performances in Wade McCollum's "One - the Musical" (Holcombe's theatrical debut) and Scott Kelman's "Tao Soup." Holcombe was invited to participate in PICA's 2006 Time-Based Arts festival as a headlining artist at "The Works," where he collaborated with members of the Music Population Orchestra to arrange songs for a five piece band and seven piece string section. In a unique culmination of these Portland experiences, Holcombe will be debuting an original two-act performance based entirely on the songs of Patty Griffin and Townes Van Zandt.
