Slow Food free Holiday Celebration, 2014
A free Slow Food South Bay Holiday Party!
2:30 - 5:30pm
On Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2014, Slow Food South Bay will have a FREE holiday celebration at two SLOW businesses in downtown Campbell. This is an opportunity to meet with the owners and chefs who are making an effort to bring us good, clean, fair food. It is with great honor to introduce these two businesses to you, and to share an afternoon with you, and to celebrate the holiday season. Join us, and click the RSVP link now!
At 2:30 pm, we will begin our celebration at "The Socialight" gallery, at 368 East Campbell Ave. Construction to convert this gallery into a restaurant will begin soon, so, join us to meet Franco, the owner, and Chef John, and hear their plans for one of the finest SLOW restaurants in the South Bay. And!, they will serve a sample item from their menu. Their website is: http://socialightca.com.
At 3:20 pm, we will walk over the to "Snake and Butterfly" chocolate shop, at 191 East Campbell Ave. Here we will learn how they make their fabulous chocolates. This is the only chocolate maker in the South Bay, and drum roll please they are using organic, fair-trade chocolate! Hear stories of the beans and their trip to Belize. Watch and learn how the chocolate is made. Their website is: http://www.snakeandbutterfly.com.
This event is best suited for adults, teens and children who are 10 years and older.
Please RSVP now for you and your guests for this free event (it is limited to 30 people). When filling in this form, please do not include toddlers and infants in the total number in your party.
You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with your Slow Food South Bay leaders. And, please watch for similar events in 2015!
NOTES for attendees:
1) Shoes: Wear comfortable walking shoes because we will be walking a couple of blocks from The Socialight to the Snake and Butterfly Chocolate shop.
