Into the Woods
With this modern classic, Chapin Theatre Company brings its first musical to the Harbison Theatre stage. This Tony Award-winning book and score take everyone's favorite fairy tales and mix them all together for an comical, enchanting and touching story of a Baker and his wife, who cannot have a child due to a witch's curse. As they set off on a journey to undo the curse, they meet others with unfulfilled wishes of their own, including Cinderella, who is dying to go to the King's festival, and Jack, who wishes his cow would produce milk. Soon, two princes, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf, among others, are caught up in the quest. When everyone gets what they want, they quickly learn that wanting something and getting it are not necessarily equally satisfying.
