Special Concert with Vicki Ray: Piano and Electronics
In celebration of concert series People Inside Electronics' new status as a 501c3 non-profit organization, we're holding a special one-of-a-kind event! Join us on December 7th at 4pm for an intimate house concert that promises to be a full evening of food, drinks, conversation, and of course music.
Our special guest is pianist Vicki Ray, a pillar of the LA new music scene. A founding member of the Piano Spheres concert series and an internationally recognized interpreter of contemporary piano music, she has worked with some of the most prominent composers of our time, including Gyorgy Ligeti, Pierre Boulez, Steve Reich, Elliot Carter, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Oliver Knussen, Louis Andriessen, Steven Stucky, David Lang, Julia Wolfe, Michael Gordon, and Chinary Ung, just to name a few. Throughout the evening Ms. Ray will be playing choice selections from her extensive piano and electronics repertoire, including works by Peter Ablinger, Donnacha Dennehy, and Chris Ceronne.
