Saturday Family Concerts: Kids Choice at Giant Magnet
From the tiniest stage in the world, a two-foot long fish tank, comes the story of the biggest love in the world. Puppets, video and music are employed in an adaptation of the Grimms classic fairy tale, The Frog Prince, performed by the Joyful Theatre from Korea. (at 11 am) Seattle-based choreographer Etienne Cakpo (Gansango) welcomes the vibrant dancers of Sobo Bade from Dakar, and a locally based team of Senegalese musicians, in an all-new show of stirring music and dance. Cimmarron plays the festive dance music called joropo, a virtuosic display of rippling melodies supporting lively and colorful dance (at 1 pm). Presented with Giant Magnet.
