GOOD HAIR
Chris Rock pushes the boundaries of discussions about race in America as only he can, with this hilarious, thought-provoking documentary exploring black America's obsession with hair. His young daughter's question--"Daddy, why don't I have good hair?"--leads Rock on a journey to salons and barber shops, trade shows, laboratories and even to India, where selling hair to the U.S. for weaves is big business. The candid stories of people he meets, and of celebrities including Nia Long, Ice-T, Eve, Salt n Pepa and Maya Angelou, say a lot about our images of beauty and black cultural identity.
