Advent Retreat in San Juan Bautista
This year St Aidan's, San Francisco will offer a one night retreat in beautiful San Juan Bautista, California at the Franciscan Retreat Center from Friday afternoon, December 12 until Saturday afternoon, December 13. We will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadeloupe.
The retreat will include meditations, discussions, music, mass, three meals and a ticket to the famous production of "The Heart of Heaven" by Teatro Camesino in the historic mission church. This play, adapted by Luis Valdez, dramatizes the four apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the Indian messenger Juan Diego in 1531. It is a joyous re-enactment of the miraculous events that inspired the religious rebirth of Indigenous Mexico, featuring live music and Aztec dance. Directed by Joe Luis Cedillo.
