Market Ghost Tour 2007
During the winter months tours are only on Saturdays at 4pm and 6pm. Please call for private tours, which are $100 for up to ten people, then you can tell me when you want to go!
Market Ghost Tours are one hour walking tours of the Pike Place Market. They are based on the stories shared by residents and workers within the historic Pike Place Market. Mercedes Yaeger, who has grown up in the Market since age 7 has researched the many stories told to her over the years to discover that only ONE does not a historical event to support it. Seattle's very interesting beginnings are mixed in with the stories. Subject matters covered may not be appropriate for very young children. Be prepared for stairs and walking. We go under and around the Market and end the tour close to Seattle's first mortuary. Online ticket sales END 2 Hours before the tour. You can purchase a ticket from your tour guide with cash, but please RSVP during the off season at 206-322-1218. Pictures of all the guides are on www.marketghost.com
WILL CALL is your tour guide, there is no ticket window, just bring your online receipt.
Meet at THE PIG, which is a life size brass piggy bank at 1st and Pike under the Public Market Center sign. There are MANY PIGS in the Market right now, go to the original BRASS pig in front of Pike Place Fish Market. Ask directions to her if needed (Her name is Rachel)! You will find a tour guide there - we wear "Market Ghost Tour" sign on our chest.
I try to get tour dates put up on site 1 month in advance, but you can call me at 206-322-1218. You can also check out my blog at www.marketghost.com.
