The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious tale of overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.
This fundraiser is ACT's first production with adult actors.
The Friday evening performance will be followed by a wine and cheese reception with the actors.
Saturday will be a family fun day starting at 11 AM. Representatives from Henry Bear's Park will be on hand with an assortment of word games that the whole family can enjoy, and there will be a kids spelling bee at 12:30. Children under 12 get into Saturday's show for $8.
